easy fix
The battery replacement is "plug and play". iPod case comes apart relatively easily, battery comes out, new one goes in. Presto. Takes a charge or two to reach capacity, kind of like most any battery. It works. However, it is bigger than the original Apple battery so it would not fit with the original HDD. I modified my iPod with a CF card as storage and since it is smaller than the HDD, the battery fits.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great battery, although product differs from imgaes
Battery is long-lasting and fits perfectly into the pre-existing battery holder inside the iPod with no modifications. The only thing I have to say is that I received a slightly different looking battery, it was white and it was 1400mAh, but I'm not complaining.

All you have to do is follow the instructions. Bought an iPod 30GB for 30$ from the pawn shop and managed to fix the headphone jack, the sound quality is very good. Several weeks after installing this battery in my iPod, the battery has good run time, which is not always the case with replacement batteries I've purchased for other electronic devices. Fixed my old iPod
