Compact & versatile bake & grill
This is our third Sunbeam Mini Bake & Grill (BT2600) & we've stuck with this model because of the size. With limited kitchen space, this product is versatile & compact enough for our family's needs. Without sufficient competition, the product can only be compared to each generation we've used. The first one lasted 5 years, while the second one lasted 3 years. Each time the product reached 'end of life' due to the heating elements failing. To grill or toast food would require the temperature to be increased over time in order to maintain the desired heated result. The current product is inconsistent in its temperature heating & could be enhanced with a digital interface rather than its existing analogue / manual controls. Great little oven for small jobs.
I love this mini oven! It is small so great for little cooking like baking small batch of scones, heating a couple of pies, cooking fish and chips for 2, lemon puddding, cheese on toast and lots more. I assume it uses lots less power than my normal oven so saves money too. I would like the tray to be able to be used independantly of the rack though as sometimes I'd like the food on the rack with the tray to collect any drips.
