Please with this, the box works and does its stuff. Like many boxes like this, the menus aren't that well organised, but they all work and you get used to them. I bought this because it had coax feedthroughs for both SAT and UHF so I could play on other devices too, but this thing is great because it has two tuners, one for each, and you can simultaneously record two channels and even watch others. You can record a SAT channel say, then go watch any DVB-T channel. You can then record a channel there, then also watch a third channel on either multiplex. It has a timeshift and permanent buffer too, so if you start watching something then decide to record it, it's there and it will save what you've just been watching. It records in TS, both standard and HD ts. I had hoped it might be able to surf internet video too, but it is not that easy. You can network it with a wifi dongle in one of the two USB ports (PVR stick in the other).Read full review

I bought this to replace an ageing and now getting clunky Technomate TM7102HD, which, has connectivity like no other box I've seen to date. So it was a true compromise to loose one S2 tuner and all those sockets on the back and the built in PVR. But what did I get for a quarter of the price. A sturdy box that changes channels in a flash, that doesn't lock up and has full DNLA capability and still has a PVR albeit external. It will even drive my TM2300 positioner with ease. And you don't need a degree in computing to set it up either, phew!. So it's impressive for the money. Early days to discuss reliability, but I think it'll do us proud for a few years by which time maybe full 4K boxes will as ubiquitous at this price point.
