Save over 100 Pounds and gain 0.66 Pounds
As a keen amateur, I looked at this and the Carbon version and the decision as to which to buy was very easy. The Aluminium version carries the same weight of equipment and is a fraction taller when fully extended while the carbon version is lighter. OK so far but when you look at the weight difference of the Aluminium version it is only 0.3kg heavier than the carbon version. Being of an age, I converted that 0.3 kg to imperial measure - 0.66lbs. So I gained 0.66lbs in weight and saved over 100 Pounds sterling! No-brainer for me - I bought the aluminium version. It's still a feather-wight to my Manfrotto 055XPROB when out and about on the move. Both excellent products.

A very good tripod
Very pleased with the tripod, excellent quality and nicely put together, stable ,brilliant head takes up to 10kgs (more than enough) can use arco swiss fittings as well as manfrotto just needs a longer screw to attach arco base to tripod.Legs with twist grip , works very well. Not to heavy to carry on shorter outings with its own bag or can be attached to a rucksack. Overall really pleased with tripod, can recommend.
