I have been having some rat activities, around my dad's house. Spent some time and money on trying to find a suitable, plastic box. The other one's proved to be too flexible, giving the expert climbers enough of a space to squeeze in. This box is absolutely perfect 👌, sturdy, waterproof, ideal size for the likes of electronic traps. The size of the last visitor was frightening,, body of roughly 30ish cm, they are definitely getting too large and may I say quite fearless. Given that my dad is 87, I don't want him in the same area as super rat 🐀.. An extremely well made and superb size box 🎁, ok not what it is intended for, but very good for what I need it for

I put lots of lights out the front of my house at Christmas and previously I would run the thin low voltage leads out through our old draughty windows. This year we had super new double glazing fitted. Wonderful warm cosy house now but no way I can run the low voltage wires out through the frames 'cos there's now no gaps! I've got a 13 amp socket in the garage but it's too far from there to where I need the lights. I do have a very long extension lead with a 5 gang socket outlet on the end but, whilst I could risk low voltage supplies getting wet, a 13 amp supply is quite another thing. Bought this Dribox, situated it under the weeping birch in the front garden and ran the extension out to it. Then installed the transformers and ran the low voltage leads out to the tree and fence where I drape the lights. The box is pretty robust and the seals are effective on both the 13 amp lead and the small low voltage light wires. It sat out there through Christmas and New Year. We get some pretty wet and windy weather up here in Scotland so I put a brick on top to stabilize it. I was worried, as the box is effectively hermetically sealed once you snap the lid clips closed, that the transformers might overheat - one in particular gets quite hot - but they were fine and I ran them for, on average, 6 hours every day. The box accepted my 5 gang extension socket with room to spare and is more than deep enough to accommodate the transformers with room to spare. There was absolutely no trace of water ingress when I came to dismantle it and the box is big enough that I can store all but one of the light sets in it 'till next year. I think the answer to life, the universe and everything was 42? Well I'd give this a 39 or 40 on that scale! If you want this sort of device this is a good one - just buy it!Read full review

Decent box with a number of foam filled holes under the seal. The snaps on either end are very tight. Material is fairly thin but as long as it doesnt get rought treatment, should be OK. Overall pretty good and priced about right. Have used it to hold rolled up cables etc and the large sized box is perfect for it.

I bought this model cable box for Christmas light connections in the garden, the green box model is the deepest, and ideal for connecting the light transformers to an extension reel which are deeper than the normal 4 way plug adaptors. So this fitted the bill and is completely waterproof outdoors. excellent value

Purchased box to replace previous worn out one. Quality is reasonable if a little flimsy. The pieces that secure the wiring inside the box are not fixed so are inclined to detach themselves when touched but i liked the way the box sealed with two catches at the side which clicked into place and I felt the box was fully water tight and would not let the electrics get damp in any way.
