ok ok,,,Fine, I'll tell you about it
this laser module did not fit the heat-sink I have. it took a bit of drilling to get it to fit,,,but it was worth it. this thing works GREAT. I did have to switch the wires around to get it to work. and i also added a buck converter (12-40V to 5V). I burnt out my old laser module by using 12V on it(((( what a dummy)))). I don't know it the laser is truly 1500mv or not but it burns a awesome smooth line. nice crisp clean line, about .5mm wide. would I recommend it? YES, enough to buy another one for myself.( always good to have a back up).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lower light output then is claimed
This is NOT a 1500mW Laser Diode... not even close The power consumption of the module is 220mA at 5V which is only 1.1W. But it is not the power consumption of the module which matters... it is the light output. I estimate the light output to be only a small fraction of what is claimed. I have mounted this device onto a heat-sink and onto an X-Y table... For all practical purposes this device is useless for an engraver. With other words... fraudVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
