The Toto washlet is a convenience that provides comfort, cleanliness and performs as the marketing-materials claim. We were introduced to this convenience in Japan and when we got home, we decided we should not live without it. Still feel the same way. The only problem is the wiring in your bathroom for a plug in probably did not imagine you would want or need this luxury. Once you install it you can choose to use it or not. The other istallation is easy enough and simply plumbs between your current water source and toilet tank. The toilet seat mounts on the existing toilet and line up perfectly. Most are elongated and require that model. The installation was about the same as an under sink water filter. Took little time. The instructions could be better but there are Utube videos that make it easier. The remote makes sense and would probably be the most common but for the many hotels and public places we used it. The remote is Much more convenient than the side mounted control panel. . I still fear the day my remote battery is drained. Still deciding where to mount the remote and where to keep spare batteries.Read full review

Came without connector valve which you can’t get at normal plumbing store. Product looks great and can’t wait to use it. So I am giving it only 3 stars because I have been inconvenienced. Toto was helpful giving me part number but I had to order it from an online plumbing part supplier.

As described & rated. All parts included in "open box." Quick & easy to install, no hold-ups. If it were up to me, I'd be a little more extensive w/ the labeling on the remote. We've been using it for a few weeks now & are delighted. It's a bit like our electric cars: we wish we'd switched long ago.

Let me start by saying that that this is the second of these bidets we've purchased. This one was a known open box and damaged item and was purchased for parts to repair our first Toto that failed catastrophically after two-years use. We love the model for it's simplicity and operation, but we do have reservations because of the first bidet's failure. It had a gear break in the stepper-motor that operates the spray wand. The first bidet was also purchased open box on eBay, with an assurance that the unit was basically new, but we don't know if that is true or there was a flaw in the motor gear. The biggest concern for us was that we couldn't order a replacement stepper-motor (Toto sells no parts). We would have had to mail the entire bidet to Toto, who would have charged $100s to change out the motor (confirmed by researching customer problems with Toto bidets online), which I had already removed and diagnosed. The motor is proprietary, meaning only Toto has it. We found like stepper-motors for sale online for $20 to $50 dollars, but the gear ratios and voltage was unique to the Toto motor, so we couldn't get a replacement motor new. Thus we waited until a used/new open box C200 Toto was offered on eBay, and this one was perfect. The bidet housing for the working parts was badly cracked (accident, clumsy install?). The bidet itself appeared to be new (parts inside were dry and dust free), so I swapped out the working parts for our failed unit. It has been working like a charm. That was until the seat contact switch on our original C200 failed one morning recently. That was also a simple swap-out of the switch from our second purchase. It should be offered here that we are talking about the reliability of a name-brand item that had an unknown past, and this purchase is a similar situation. In hind site perhaps purchasing one brand new Toto bidet might have avoided this, but in my opinion that isn't necessarily so. We bought the first Toto to replace a major competitor's bidet (brand new and $1000) that totally failed after about 2.5 years of use. They too wanted $100s to check and repair their bidet. Here's what both this manufacturer and Toto shared: Unknown reliability (we have no idea if a brand-new Toto would have been more reliable) and unreasonable repair costs. I should add here that my online research found that both manufacturers wound up making their customers pay shipping of the units both ways. So we bought 2 open box Toto C200's and have one working bidet, over a 2 year plus period. For what it is worth the cost of the 2 bidets was still less than the cost of buying one new Toto. Yes I have time invested in making the repairs and not everyone can and wants to do this. Don't blame you. But after spending $1000 on our first experience and having nothing to show for it, this was the decision we made. Should you buy a Toto? We can't say enough good things about how ours works when it isn't having a problem, and we really are hoping that our current setup will run trouble free for many years. But that is our hope and not supported by our experiences so far. Good luck to you with your purchases and remember this is a poorly supported industry for the consumer.Read full review

The total per day works great as promised. The only fault was water supply line was cross threaded. However connection was made without leaking. Also no installation instructions were included. Overall I’m very happy.

The product functioned fine, except the attachment to the toilet was not functioning. It would not snap into place as the instructions said. The hooks on the seat attachment would not engage with the toilet mount. Oh well.

Just bought our 2nd one. Excellent quality. Ease of use - lots of features. Be sure to read the Owner's Manual for "hidden" features. Saves toilet paper.

We purchased our first Toto Washlet in 2002 after we returned from Japan. They had these appliances in every hotel room and once you tried one, you have to have one. After 18 years we had to purchase a replacement because our old one developed leaks. Hope this one lasts just as long.
