LAST one on the Planet!
I have searched ALL over the Internet for this pink iron! I found it about 12 pages later in a Google search. I couldn't believe my eyes! Contacted seller and asked if it was for real, LOL. It was. With four people watching it, I knew it was now or never. I bought it before the seller responded. I can't believe I'm so excited about a PINK IRON. I got it. I opened it. I plugged it in. I turned it on. Then I stared at it. It works! And it's mine. It is a heavy iron. But so is my other one (a Panasonic with the double-pointed ends). But this one gets much hotter. I like that it lifts up as soon as I take my hand off to pick up the phone or whatever (no scorching fabrics). That also means it won't tip and fall easily (which has always worried me with irons). No more silicone iron pad to take up space on my ironing board to keep the other iron laying flat. Works great...not too heavy.
I wouldn't say it's "lightweight", but it's not too heavy either. I have arthritis and was looking for lightweight, but this is fine. I think the fact that I don't have to make the motion of standing it up after each pass is easier on the wrist. I quilt so I use the iron allot. Received quickly, received as described, works great. I prefer my Rowenta, HOWEVER, this iron is great for smaller projects, where the iron has to be continuously picked up. All you do is move it over, presto bingo! Be sure NOT to leave water in it for long lengths of time, this iron does not have a self clean, eventually brown stuff will start coming out!! A Stand Up Iron with 5 STARS!!!!!
My wife is a serious quiltress and uses her iron, probably, more than most people. She needs an iron that she can basically use and forget during her activities, meaning that when she finishes ironing, she just releases the iron and walks away, thanks to the auto lifting feature on this iron. Unlike other irons that need to be stood up on their end, this one has lifting legs that resolves this problem, thus ending the possibility of knocking the iron over and even onto the floor which I have seen.
