Does everything you need for an external drive
Needed an external drive to back up my photos on a Apple Mac mini. It works straight from the box, just connect to the computer with the cable and transferred the files about 10 times faster than my previous Seagate drive. No setup and no downloading drivers as long as you make sure you get the apple version of the drive. Also about half the size of my previous one.

The best portable HDD I’ve ever had
I’ve been using Western Digital products for decades now, both as user and reseller, and never had any real problem. I have three 4Tb MyCloud drives at home for personal and professional use. Regarding portable HDD, I have already had a lot of it, always from WD and I can affirm that this is the best I have had so far. Fast, reliable and surprisingly compact for a 4Tb disk.
