Burnt my hair to bits!
As a previous hairdresser, I’m used to working with curlers, straighteners. These had the ceramic plates, looked sturdy without being to heavy... it looked perfect.
Half way through doing my hair, I felt it dragging my hair rather than gliding. I checked the temperature which was fine and carried on... then I smelt the singe and quickly got it off my head/hair and it was absolutely boiling hot. Now many straighteners go up to 230c, however these only go up to 180. Clearly these are not only very dangerous! Luckily, I was on the middle section so it’s not very noticeable when my hairs down. Thank God, I didn’t grab a big section or God forbid a front section or my hair would have just snapped.
I’ve requested a return but I’ll also be seeking to get the money back for the items I’m having to buy to try and ‘fix’ the hair.
Be very very careful of these straighteners!!
