A lot for a little.

Hobart does KitchenAid right
I’ve had a mixer just like this since 1987. It is a powerhouse workhorse. The newer models are made more cheaply and do not have the Hobart engines. I tried a newer one recently and it sounded terribly cheap when I ran it. So I bought an older model just like mine for my son, who is quite the chef. Indispensable use, classic design
I had to get a stand mixer because I have a hand condition that is made worse by holding a hand-held one. I'd owned one of these before (an old one I found in the trash, believe it to not) but didn't really have room for it and usually found myself using a hand-held mixer. So I sold it.
