Nice refirb cordless vacuum, not worth full retail
Amazing suction power wish I had a little bit better battery life, But it does the job. You do get about 20 minutes out of low speed which is plenty of suction less than 10 minutes and high which is extreme suction. 5 hour charge time Would be nice if they had one hour charge time with swapable batteries like name brand drills. I like how it has a cradle that has charger attached so it's always ready to go. Would be nice if attachments were interchangeable with the uprights unfortunately they are not. Vacuum performs well on all surfaces in furniture stairs, I will definitely buy another one when this one wears out. Never Got It
A big no to The Dyson Outlet A 60 day warranty isn’t long enough. After never receiving the vacuum, I purchased a new V8 Absolute from Best Buy that stopped working in 1-1/2 weeks. After cleaning filters, it still wouldn’t run. Hoping it’s replacement is better because it is great when it’s working. Price new was only slightly more than the used one from the Dyson Outlet. It comes with a 2 year warranty. Much better than the non existent service and 60 days offered by the Dyson Outlet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Should have bought one sooner!
I have wanted a Dyson for years since borrowing my mom’s corded version. It is so quiet, so powerful, so lightweight, and gets in so many nooks and crannies with ease. Even my 12 year old son wants to vacuum our hardwood floors daily! Our house used to be such a pain to try to keep presentable with a hardworking contractor husband, 12 year old boy and his band of merry friends, and the biggest mess maker ever - our love-able fur factory, um I mean yellow lab and his two feline companions. The velvety hard floor head gets the fur out of anything. Everyone will think I spend hours cleaning now! Best Vacuum Ever!
Previously, I've owned a Kirby, which cleaned well, but was too darn heavy. I've owned a Dyson upright and Dyson canister for about 5 years and liked them so much, bought each of my children an upright. I'd seen the ad for the cordless V8 and liked the appeal of a cordless. Knowing the Dyson brand, I bought this and am really pleased. Being a short, small, and aging person, I have trouble vacuuming the stairs and even getting the regular vacuums out. This cordless is THE solution. I can even lift it with one finger! The attachments are great, the vacuum has enough power to do a job comparable to my other Dysons and I'm totally pleased. My house was built in 1900 and I was worried where I was going to hang it, like the video showed, but you don't need to hang it and can charge it anywhere. The charge holds long enough to do the entire 3,000 square foot house. Now, my children want one, but this time, they need to buy their own. Love this vacuum
I love this vacuum for the simple reason that the majority of my home has concrete floors. It feels like a hassle to get out my large heavy Dyson for this very reason. I can just zip around the house with this light new vacuum which even allows me to reach under things that the larger Dyson won't. One of the features that probably isn't highlighted enough on the complete is the fact that it has the microfiber on the extra head and it totally dusts your solid surface flooring! Dyson V8...Awesome
Wasn't sure if this cordless would live up to the hype and expectations but it did and I am pleasantly surprised. Since I started using it I haven't used my standard vacuum since. It does it all from wood floors to carpets as well as my corded vacuum. But without hassle of dealing with cord getting in the way or going under rug. Since we have a dog that sheds it's a time saver, quick and easy clean up and really light to take from room to room. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. Works Well - Heavier than Expected
The price is steep, but we have use Dyson vacuums for years. This one arrived in a timely manner. I plugged in the cord and charged thew battery. The cradle had little instructions on how it should be mounted, but I found a video online. The unit picks up dog hair and other debris well enough.Run time is some what limited, but they advertise the times. The unit is heavier than expected. Having not had an opportunity to use the V6 model I can't really make a comparison. I have a small place and the unit is perfect for me. Whenever I see dirt it's just so easy to grab the unit and fix the problem. The unit has 2 levels of suction the lowest is for normal use and the highest is so high it sticks the power head to my carpet and won't move. True Love!
I love this vacuum; it is so easy to use, no cord to get out of the way or move from plug to plug. It really is as easy to change attachments as they show in the commercials. I have wood, tile, and carpet floors, and it is just a breeze to "click" and swap out the attachments. I can't say enough good things about this vacuum. Very good, wish it were simpler
PROS: Good construction, excellent suction, nearly as good as a corded vacuum. The soft-roller head really does what it claims - picks up on carpets and hard floors. Very easy to empty and you can see that it picks up very fine dust. CONS: Expensive. If I had found another similar vacuum with a HEPA filter I would never pay this much. Plastic construction feels cheap. Like all Dyson vacuums this is over-engineered and overly complicated to use - for instance the stick is too long to easily change vacuum heads, you have to put the motor end on the floor. Also it requires a surprising amount of wrist strength, my forearm is tired by the time I'm done.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
