Finally have a cool home
Great deal on this a/c unit. There are days that get very warm and uncomfortably humid during the summer. I have two cats and work full time. It's great being able to keep the place cool for them when I'm not the there. And even better for me when I get home. The evenings cool down, but can remain very humid. Yes it cools two small rooms quickly
The only reason I did four stars instead of five is because it’s bigger and heavier than I expected. It’s much bigger than a Haier 8000 BTU I have, and I struggled to get it in the window. Luckily it was on the ground floor. I would stress one thing, check dimensions before buying. Otherwise ICE cold air right away and one of the best air conditioners we have ever had. It has a remote and an energy saver option if you are out for the day and don’t want it running non stop. The humidity and temp of our air is measured by a NEST thermostat and we were amazed at how fast this got the temp and humidity down. It really works quickly and is very powerful. Worth the price , take a chance
This was the LG refurb. I was willing to take a chance because this was not a critical use AC, just in a room in my shop. If it doesn't work, you can send it back. It is quite enough, I like the controls, and it does have a remote. It comes packaged with everything it should have. It has air dry, (dehumidifier function). It makes 55 degree air at the discharge. Rapid cooling and quiet.

I love this AC
This is one cold ac. It is much quieter than my old Comfort Air, and the Frigidaire that I tried out. The compressor stays on until the set temperature is reached on this LG. The Frigidaire unit I tried didn't do that, its compressor continuously turned on and off not cooling as well as this LG. Inside the grill where the air comes out is black plastic on this LG, I like that. Those Frigidaire, and Haier have that white Styrofoam and that stuff shows the least little dust making it look dirty all the time. My only complaint on this LG is it doesn't have A sleep mode, that's ok, the pros on this thing outweighs this one little con. By far my favorite window Ac and the best I've tried so far, I'll be keeping this babe. I have it in my 13x18 foot living room, it cools with no problem.
