One of the best cheaper brand radios
The audio on the anytone 878 is a lot clearer than any other "cheap" radio on the market. It astounded me how clear it is. The radio is deeper due to higher capacity battery 3100mah. The radio lasts several days on a charge too. The channel selector (rotary selector) isn't limited to 16 channels per zone unlike the other radios. You can have 2 if you like and when rotating dial it shows 1 then 2 then 1 etc, if you have 20 channels it increases 1 at a time then after 20 starts back at 1. The programming cable does not have a chip in it, so you use a virtual com port, it can be slightly tricky at first programming with the lead as it isn't always seen by the computer, it will eventually after a couple of attempts.
