Good, Efficient Tiller
I have only used this for about 30 minutes or so. But it does what I want it to do. It tills soil in neglected flower beds , on my lawn and on an overgrown gravel path. The motor is poerful enough to till all these types of soil to a depth of about 6 inches or so. If you want any deeper than this I think you could go a bit deeper, maybe 3 inches or so, you could but you'd need to hold it it one plce and push down into the soil. The only downsides I see are:
a) The clips holding the cables to the handle come off, so I've taped them on with gorilla/duct tape
b) When you till the soil, items like roots, dried moss, string and membrane shreds get wrapped around the tiller blade sft and has to be cleaned periodically. Cleaning the shaft of these items is relatively easy. However, this, I think, is a universal problem with tillers/cultivators.
It arrived on time, was well packaged, the fitting instructions were clear and it was straightforward to assemble. It certainly appears well constructed, yet relatively light. I think a woman or early teen boy might have difficulty with it. It naturally moves forward and you do have to hold it back from moving forward too fast. A forwards/backwards movement sweems the best for tilling. It is powerful (I went for the more powerful model). And I think it will last well, but, obviously, I cannot say definitively given the short time I've had it.
