Only used it once but it's great so far
I've only had the line trimmer for a few days but it seems to work really well. It did all the edges great and also made pretty easy work of a patch of grass on a steep bank that I hadn't mowed in nearly six months. Battery run time when you are going through heavy grass isn't great. I did about 20-30m2 area of really thick long grass and the ages of my lawn maybe 60 metres of wedding and the battery dies just before I finishedVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Magnificent quality and performance.
Despite my ratings, I haven't used my DeWalt 54 volt brushless strimmer yet. ... BUT Imy neighbour bought one, ( he only buys absolutely top quality tools, maintaining that it is always the cheapest option in the long run ), and it was absolutely terrific. Astonishing performance. Pricey, but the power of the thing ... its light weight compared to a petrol strimmer. So I bought one, too. Long battery run, Powerful
The price of these unit's almost put me off after using various Flymo over the years and one petrol Strimmer. Powerful cut just using the strimmer wire. Not yet used the brushcutter blade but I have found this an impressive strimmer. Love the long handle and well balanced with the large battery. Used for around 45 minutes almost constantly on the low power setting which was sufficient for grass and nettles that was up to 18ins height. I didn't need high setting but probably good for the brushcutter blade on thicker jobs. Decided to try it on my Fence Ivy and trim it back. With just the wire and it did an excellent job. Do wear face/eye protection as the power of this strimmer does send bits flying. Pleasantly impressed. Might even consider the Dewalt Lawnmower next.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

GREAT PIECE OF KIT
Very powerful trimmer with variable speed and low power setting to increase battery life. The battery is 9 amp hour but, I believe that, as this is the flexvolt, 9ah refers to the power when used on 18 volt tools and not the 54v as this trimmer is. I have found the battery life to be quite adequate and there is a button on the battery pack with three led's to indicate the remaining charge. All in all, quite impressed with only one slight reservation: I had hoped that it would be lighter than my Stihl petrol trimmer but it feels just as heavy although I am disabled so other users may not find this a consideration.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
