Good price, acceptable product performance.
Volume control, on side of headset, is difficult to sense, by touch, and changes volume in increments. A rheostat, for greater resolution, would have been a better choice for volume control. Charging station is OK. Transmission of RF signal is OK, but sometimes there are dead areas due to obstructions. However, this deficit was forewarned in the instruction manual. Should have had a balance control as part of its original design. The Sennheiser TR-140 that I had before this was much better. But it was 20 years old and it was falling apart. Current Sennheiser models, which I tried, were not as good as this, but I am hearing impaired. For the price paid, this Avantree was adequate.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I am hard of hearing so it helps me a lot
These are just what the doctor ordered! This system works great. I have it hooked up to my smart TV in my bedroom which also has a Roku on it. The system was very easy to hook up to my TV. I like the way it charges the batteries in the headphone. Simply lay the headphone over the top of the base unit, a green light comes on and it starts charging. It also stops charging automatically once the batteries are charged. The base unit starts blinking a blue light once it receives audio from the TV. When that happens I turn on the headphone and it receives the TV audio from the base unit. When I turn off the TV the blue light goes out on the base unit and I turn off the headset. When in use, you can turn off the volume on the TV but you can hear everything through the headphones. That way it does not disturb anyone else in the room. I sometimes am watching a movie with the Roku device and I fall asleep. I wake up, the TV is on, the base unit stopped receiving audio from the TV because the movie ended while I was asleep so the blue light is out which shuts off the audio to the headphones which will also turn off due to lack of signal from the base. I have learned to set the TV sleep timer before watching a late night movie anymore. I do not have to worry about anything staying powered up all night. The buttons that control the headset volume are a little hard to find by touch at times. I have learned where they are and adjusted my way of "feeling" for them. I now can control them without too much effort. If I had to find fault with the unit I'd say it was the way the buttons were installed on the headset however once you get used to it I find it's no big deal and besides all the other features outweigh the problem. I am very happy so far with my system. I've had it for 6 weeks now. I find I need to charge the headset once or twice a week depending on how many hours they are in use. I use them every night when I go to bed. Oh, I almost forgot. When I first hooked it up I experience the muffled sound some other reviewers talked about. I fixed that by adjusting the TV's audio in the TV's menus. When the headset's batteries need charged you will hear an annoying beep in the headset. It will do this three times over several minutes and then simply turn off. I guess that would be something to find fault with also. Very satisfied with sound, set up and distance of signal for the middle rage cost.
Only been using them for a couple of weeks but there as light as can be expected for full size headphones. I have hearing problems and they go as loud as you could want, with my TV after the head set maxes out I can continue raising volume on the TV remote which increased the sound louder than I could use, sound quality is very good also. Whether I'm listening to a show or music I can walk anywhere on my entire first floor and down into the basement and they stay connected. They are easy to set up and use, off/on and volume controls right on the head set and the rechargeable batteries last all day long. Great ears.
This has amazing sound. Was fairly easy to set up for this 75 year old woman. My only suggestion for improvement would be to allow the down volumn to go one or two more steps lower but that is not a huge issue.
