Great Shimano Di2 upgrade especially with Wahoo Element Computer Head Units
Product easy to install on bike. Downloading software using i-phone was a bit of a chore. Once software was installed it was easy to program the Di2 . I can scroll through my Wahoo Bolt computer screens using buttons on shifter hoods. Allows you to install synchro or semi synchro shifting. Display gear selection (front and rear) on bolt. You can check the Di2 battery charge level on the Bolt. Will recommend this upgrade to my friends who use Di2. A little expensive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Shimano needs to figure the installation out better than this...
Once it’s working... it’s great. I thought the online descriptions of these units bricking di2 systems was a minority, but I also had he update bricking and I don’t have easy access to a windows PC (if you do - you are better off). Anyway, after disconnecting, reconnecting all the components from the system, getting an iPhone to connect after my iPad wouldn’t anymore, it finally started working again. Took way too long to get working. Why should have taken no more than 5 min took almost an hour ! But it’s all paid off after it finally started working again (I have no idea what worked, so I will go through it again when I install the next one on my other bike). Yes, even after all this difficulty, the value of using my phone and connecting to my head unit outweighed the pain to set up !Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Di2 upgrade
I upgraded my DI2 system from the old external junction box mounted under the stem to the bar end unit. It cleaned things up nicely, less wires. Then I decided to get the wireless unit to finish the upgrade. I connected it in-line at the internal battery in the seat stay. Downloaded the e-tube app on my iPad and updated the firmware successfully. Fiddled with the the different functions for my wahoo bolt and everything was set. Works very well. I’ve read about how the firmware update can “brick” your di2 but I didn’t experience this at all. Before I installed the wireless transmitter I had previously updated the firmware on my system when I installed the bar end junction via e-tube project on my older windows laptop. I believe this might have helped streamline the install of the wireless unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A Great Add-On
I installed this about 3 weeks ago and it works great. I first updated the software and then set my shifting patterns. I have a GPS that communicates with the unit and shows what gear combo I'm in and battery life left. Well worth the money I paid for it.
