    Easy to use Crown Capper

Solid piece of kit I found it easier to use at about waste level put the bottle on a stool or low table put the bottle top on the bottle then put the crown capper on top then just push down on the levers don’t be frightened to use a bit of force after a couple of tops it’s easy better than the old one I had using a mallat to tap them on.

    Good sturdy capper.

Used it for the first time last weekend, a very strong and robust capper but comes with a couple of issues, firstly it is very difficult to remove from the bottle once the crown cap has been sealed in position, secondly the central pin which withdraws as you pull down the handles makes a noticeable indentation in the crown cap, this I had to overcome by placing a 10 pence coin on top of the cap prior the capping operation. All in all a good tool and does the job.

  • bottle capper and tops great value easy to use

Have been bottling beer for over 40 years had a great capper that finally gave up the ghost last year purchased and returned 3 capper's last year as they did not work. Needed a new one so bought this one last week which actually worked fine.

  • Crown capper

Works well, does require a little strength and practice but once the technique is mastered its easy .place bottle on firm level surface place cap on bottle with capper handles wide open, then gently close handles so re plastic cuffs grip bottle neck a push handles hard down.to release hold bottle between your knees and pull handle up- every ones a winner!

  • Robust and easy to use.

It's a robust piece of kit which works very well. I used a smidgin of silicone lubricant on the moving parts which made the action even smoother. With the bottle on a stable surface all it takes is a firm downward push on the handles and the cap is on.

  • Robust and can be used with confidence

This capper makes short work of capping bottles. Very positive and effective in operation. It takes some effort to remove it from the bottle after the capping operation but practice helps develop a technique and it is so much more robust than plastic models, which I have used for years and which tend to begin to fail after not much use. I think this model will outlast them by a long way. Glad I invested a bit extra money in it.

  • Solid, effortless and effective.

Solidly made and heavy this capper feels like it's going to last. As others have mentioned a spot of oil on the joints is highly recommended and makes the action smooth and effortless (it was quite stiff before lubricating). I've just done a couple of dozen bottles, each one took about six or seven seconds and no caps got wasted in the process, the capper has good leverage so very little force is required. Highly recommended at this price.

  • Good product

Got the plastic one initially but that was not great with some bottles not sealing correctly, but this one is much easier to use and sealed all the bottles. My daughter was even able to use this one but couldn't manage the plastic one.

  • Sturdy but stubborn!

It's sturdy and heavier than expected. I've used it on 32 bottles so far and each cap went on great with no leaks. It's quite difficult to push the arms back up though, once it's been pushed down, to release it from the bottle. Had to struggle with it every time. Not a smooth action.
