Not perfect but what is?
I used rival models where the cooking compartment revolved and tumbled contents as an option. It was smaller therefore faster and easier to clean. This version takes much longer to cook. The results are good and I look forward to trying some recipes. The bowl is large and able to cook many things but if you have smaller items you are using energy to heat air which is a waste. It would help if a insert could be made to reduce the 12litre bowl to half size speeding cooking and energy use. I have made a bowl shape from Aluminium to make the air space in the bowl less. The accessories are good and welcome as they allow a variety of cooking. The glass bowl will lose heat whilst cooking but for watching the progress it is perfect. To clean it I used the clean option but it seemed pointless. You need to fill it with boiling water then run it and it leaves a bowl of slush which one will need to carry to a sink to empty. large and heavy and difficult to carry safely. I will wash the bowl in the sink in future. The plus's are good, relatively fast, defrosting option, variable temperature and cooking time. Able to watch cooking progress. I add these to balance my report. Would I buy a new one when require. Yes. I will be using this for baking soon. It is that versatile. Disappointed
After waiting longer than stated for the item to be delivered i unpacked item. Previously whilst waiting i went on You Tube to get an idea of use. My first use was a simple breakfast, bacon, sausage but it took well over 25mins but this time the sausage was overcooked so took that out whilst bacon continued when finished the sausage had to go into microwave to warm before being plated up, i was a bit annoyed but first time use and it will get better. The following day Sunday i chose pork steaks, they remained pale for a good 15mins some bubbling and colouring started so i turned them over as recommended eventually they browned. As for eating i found the pork tough which i think was the length of time to cook. I will persevere as there are a lot of good reports with halogen i can only hope with use i get better results. Great machines.
These are wonderful machines. Compact easy to use. Faster than a conventional cooker and with being on a work top and made of glass, it's easy to see what's happening to food as its cooking. This is the third one of these type I have had. I hardly use the main cooker these days. Replacement for much used old one
I am a great fan of halogen cookers. They are easy to use, clean and are very economical to run. As with most cookers you have to experiment to get the perfect results as to your liking but this is quickly achieved the more you use it. Food retains its flavour and is healthier cooked this way. Great oven...highly recommended!
I would have give the product 5*, if it not for the protective cover rust(as in photo), particles fall into the food whilst cooking. Probably caused when the lid is left on after it’s turned off, steam/condensation rises and gets trapped on the protective cover...this problem could also happen when cleaning cycle is used....But this problem can be solved I think by just allowing the fan and halogen left on to dry off any moisture or water.....hope this helps...This is my favourite appliance in the kitchen easy to use and clean with amazing results!

excellent oven
i purchased this halogen oven as it seemed like a reasonable price for what it was and it also came with accessories, the oven is fabulous, comes with not only an instruction booklet but also a recipe booklet which i found really helpful, it cooks quickly and evenly and is so easy to clean it is compact but large too if that makes sense? meaning its compact but can be made into a much larger oven capacity with the extending ring provided, I think this product is excellent value for money and i would definitely buy again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent little oven.
Had this oven a while now, and it's great for roasts and the like, not quite so good for chops and thin cuts which can cook rather dry. But it does what it claims, cooks significantly faster than a conventional fan oven, and much more convenient. The first time I used it to roast a chicken, I was really surprised how good it was. It's easy to clean, but lifting the lid and propping it up on the supplied stand is something you have to be very careful about, or you could burn yourself — best to use oven gloves. I got this to use in a tiny property that has little room for normal cooker. Using this and a micro wave i can cook almost any meal. The cooker does get very hot and the stand for the hot lid is not the greatest design so I would not recommend it for an old person who is a bit frail. The good thing about it is you can see exactly how the food is cooking so you don't have to fuss about times and temperatures, just alter settings to suit. The roast potatoes I did were brilliant. Cleaning is also dead easy. The food doesn't seem to get baked on like a normal oven so cleans up quickly. Not sure what happens when the halogen lamp goes? Probably throw away. What a healthy way to live, easy to use, easy to clean, much quicker than a conventional oven😀most meals take between 12 /15 mins to cook.
