Lightweight and cleans well without the mess of the big carpet shampooers.
Great product! I purchased this unit to replace my first sonic duo which lasted several years. It really cleans carpet well, especially with the pre-treatment spray and the scrubber pads for tough dirt & stains. It's a low moisture system so doesn't leave behind the wet mess that some of the larger carpet shampooers do - had one of those and they always left dirty water behind on the carpets. They do recommend that you use the system monthly to keep carpets looking good. Don't have much experience using the sonic duo for hard floor cleaning (includes separate pad and cleaning solution for hard floors) but have cleaned a tile floor with it and it worked just fine. I have not used it on hardwood flooring. This unit will not mean you never have to get your carpet professionally cleaned, but you can greatly reduce the frequency!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Greatest helper in the house.and so easy to use.
Greatest helper in housework everyone can use this with ease, even from a wheelchair! My 2200 square feet of floors shine I have some disabilities which make it impossible to use heavy machines or to get down on my knees to clean the floors. I have hardwood floors and carpeted rooms as well. I just put on the right pad and away we go with the correct cleaner or wax or carpet cleaner. When done, just wash the pad and let it dry for the next time. My work gets done and my floors look great in record time too. This is the best gift I could think to give to a person who is not able to get around as easily as he./she used to. (Or to anyone who just doesn't enjoy scrubbing floors very much.) I can't say enough good about this product. It works well with other cleaners not sold by the machine's maker too. The pads are a little expensive to replace, however they will last for years if you keep them washed and dried between uses. Dandy worker! I would buy it again any day of the week. Couldn't do without this little machine. I have 2 dogs tracking through the house from the yard and a husband who does the same, haven't trained any of them to wiipe their feet before coming inside.
