Yale BS Night Latch (60mm)
This product is excellent quality, and fairly straightforward to fit with a few simple tools (drills, hammer, chisel, pencil etc). Even if you are replacing an existing night latch so the door already has a hole in it, be aware this uses additional holes so you will still need to drill. It comes with a paper template showing the positions of holes etc, I would suggest punching through with a pointed implement to mark the positions. The construction is so much larger, chunkier and more robust than the standard latch, it really looks and feels solid from the one-piece latch pull with anti-drill plate on the outside to the reassuringly large striker plate. It also has an automatic deadlock, and the inner handle can be locked with a key before closing (useful if you are leaving your property unattended and you have glass door panels). Even when locked like this it can still be unlocked from the outside with the key. The lock / key is 6 pin so provides additional resistance to picking. It is at the more expensive end of the range, but worth it when you see the build quality. Top product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
