Just but the Seiko SKX007j , its that good

Very well made, finishing and attention to detail is very satisfying, looks and feels bomb proof, the lume is incredibly bright and long lasting.Rubber strap is stiff but softens and becomes more flexible. This watch is a strap monster , it wears and looks great with nato straps and a strapcode solid link bracelet. The watch movement 7s26 has settled in after a few days and is reasonably accurate , I have not checked it , I don’t need or expect digital accuracy . All that you really need to know is that you have to buy watch.

    Seiko SKZ007J1

The watch was new, but not in a factory box. Also the ID tag was generic with no serial number on it. Also the Warranty card is not recognized by the Seiko Corporation here in America. However, if I don't have any Warranty issues in the next year or so, and the watch remains in good condition, I will be satisfied with the Seiko quality. The watch looks very good but the "band" is too stiff and turns away from the top of my wrist to the side...because of the stiffness of the band. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase, as long as I have now Warranty issues.

  • Get the "J" models instead of the "K" models - they last longer.

This is my third Seiko, the first one being back in 1980 and it had a Japanese movement. That watch lasted 23 years and was replaced by another Seiko diver which, unbeknownst to me, had a non-Japanese movement and lasted only 13 years. Having learned the difference between watches, I determined to replace the second Seiko with another of Japanese manufacture and it - of course - is performing flawlessly.

  • Legendary watch, future NOS collectors item

Just to be clear, this watch isn’t materially worth anywhere near the asking prices on eBay. It uses an outstandingly outdated movement with the 7S26 that doesn’t offer hacking or hand wind, it uses hardlex, aluminum bezel, mediocre finishing, cheap strap. If you want to buy a watch to wear, then look elsewhere. Go get an orient or a lower end prospex with the 4R movement. If you want an SKX007J1 because it’s a LEGEND and you just want to own an icon, it absolutely is worth the current market prices. NOS will only get harder to find, so it’s not a bad thing having an SKX around.

  • SKX007J1 - Possibly the best watch ever at this price

Seiko quality is famous among the watch world. An automatic is a nice thing to have on the end of your arm. No batteries or quartz just good old fashioned engineering and craft. The SKX007 is a bit of a cult icon and very collectable, especially this Japan model (J) as it says on the dial. And it looks timeless and can be dressed up as I did with a yokobies anvil bracelet. I love it.

  • Seiko divers watch

Research let me to this watch. I went surfing with it on the other day. It did well, I got beat up by the waves. I like being able to keep it on all the time without it worrying about water, and it ain't expensive compared to those uppedy brands. I found the watch to be in perfect condition and have been wearing it every day. I also like the illumination in the dark.

  • Very nice quality for the price

I would suggest changing the band out. It's okay but seems low quality compared to the actual watch. Good thing is that there are many companies that make bands specifically for this watch or you can just get on with 22mm width. I put an oyster on mine

  • Classic Seiko diver

Ive owned this watch before and always wanted another one, which I now have.. To make it even more great,I have modified my SKX007 with a special tower shark stainless bezel which makes it even better looking.. I keep my new Seiko in a watch winder when Im not wearing it.. Im glad I bought the J1 version..Made in Japan... I have other divers watches including Vostok and Orient which I like too.. They all have their special character..

  • One of Seiko’s best. Great value

Great price on a great watch. The band was a bit stiff, probably because the watch was manufactured more than a year ago so it spend considerable time in storage somewhere in the Middle East as the day wheel was in Arabic/English. It was delivered on time and in as new condition

  • its just fine

I am happy now at first my watch was losing approx.. 60spd I wrote to Seiko for help, and they have told me that the watch should be wound by shaking left to right so I did and that have solved the problem, and now for one week is holding perfect time,to confirm it I check the time with Tool Watch sometimes. thank you MJ.
