This durable and corrosion resistant sand filter is compatible with most above ground pools and is a highly efficient and way to keep the water in your above ground pool clean and healthy. The pump uses silica sand (not included) instead of a filter cartridge which is far more cost effective than running a traditional filter pump system. Where a filter cartridge may need replacing every 2 weeks, silica sand only needs to be changed once every 3 years. The pump works by draining pool water through a hose and into the filtration system. The silica sand is so compact that it traps dirt and debris in the water that passes through. Filtered water is then pumped down a separate hose and into the swimming pool inlet.
