NotesThe Sisters who sing the hymns on this album are all members of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary Mother of Our Savior, whose first work is to comfort the Sacred Heart of Jesus by making reparation for the ingratitude of men and seeking to allay the burning thirst of the Divine Heart to be honored in the Blessed Sacrament. In all that the Sisters do they strive to comfort the Heart of Christ. This spirit of love and reparation animates their lives. And it is, without question, evident in their beautiful voices as they sing the praises of God by means of these hymns. It is their fond hope and prayer that God may use these songs and hymns to communicate to others, in some fashion, the love that they bear in their hearts for Jesus and Mary. For as St. Therese of the Child Jesus put it: 'To love Jesus and to make Him loved - how sublime that is.'

Lack of Popularity
I'm a cradle Catholic and I bought this because of the title but when I listened to it I only recognized one of the hymns. I know many Catholic hymns and if these are considered traditional I don't know where they are because it isn't from where I am and I'm 57 years old so I should have known these if they were truly traditional.
