  • Cost-effective way of acquiring their best albums

Forgot how really good the BBB was. This set is a GREAT and INEXPENSIVE way of acquiring their best-known and most influential albums. It was great to hear these again, lo these many years.

  • Awesome value; awesome music!

Absolutely great value for this package of the first five Paul Butterfield Blues Band CDs. The sound is good, although I can't say for sure if all has been remastered or not because I never had any older versions. As far as the music, any blues fan should enjoy these albums spanning the mid to late Sixties. Paul Butterfield exudes cool with his distinctive harmonica and voice as he admired and learned from some of the legends of Chicago blues. I am almost embarrassed that it has taken me so long to fully discover and recognize how good this band was, even though each album has a little different feel starting with the hard-biting guitar of Mike Bloomfield, and then horns being introduced and becoming more prominent in the latter albums. Again, just a great value for this stellar blues band. You won't be disappointed!

  • Good lot of PBBB's early albums.

Nice lot of 5 early albums, with the first two being the best, the first self titled album and the second album East West are awesome, the third one the Resurrection of Pigboy Crabshaw is pretty good and the forth one In My Own Dream has a couple of good songs on it but the fifth album Keep on Moving is a little better. All in all it's a good lot of their early work.

  • Should explain the packaging in more detail. Not that would deter me from future purchases.

I was somewhat surprised how it was packaged, but no way did that change the enjoyment of the music. But as Obama said, "I have a pair of scissors and new empty CD Jewel cases". Good deal on great music.

  • Solid Blues!

Some really great blues in this CD set. I discovered these guys years and years ago when I was in Vietnam and I'm glad I'm listening to them again.

  • First 5 CS’s of Paul’s career.

Very nice collection of music. First 2 CD I prefer, next 3 are dominated by horns. Great understanding of Paul’s music, beginnings. I would recommend.

  • Get to know Paul Butterfield

This is a great collection from a Chicago blues artist that set the standard for blues harmonica players and surrounded himself with fantastic blues players.

  • Nice package

This reproduces all the original album covers, which is nice. Otherwise though could probably fit all the music on a couple of CDS. Great music regardless.

  • Instant Memories

Paul Butterfield was one greatest innovator of the 60's West Coast Rock/Blues sound. If you collect the sound of the 60's San Francisco, This is a must have.
