A candid review.
I was absolutely shocked and disgusted by 'Entertaining Mr Sloane' when I first viewed it some years ago. When I discovered that someone had seen fit to disseminate this atrocity on DVD, I bought a copy just to reinforce my opinion. I am a keen theatregoer, and have relatively modest tastes. This piece of utter filth is undoubtedly the product of a very sick mind indeed. Mr Orton seemed to take delight in wallowing in filth, and filth is most certainly on offer in this disgusting film. It centres around a 'menage a trois' of thoroughly shoddy people, and they manage to cause offense to members of decent society in several despicable exploits. At one point, I had to open my handbag as I thought I was going to be violently ill. The wretching has caused me to pull a muscle in my stomach, which still causes me considerable discomfort. If nudity and base behaviour of the most degenerative form are things which appeal to you as a viewer, then this filth is probably manna from heaven. Yours faithfully, Edna Welthorpe (Mrs)
