A very mediocre film which pretends to be something it isn't, it was previously released under the title "The Dark Kingdom" Yes there are a few scenes with dragons which are quite well animated, but most of the time it is just talk with poorly acted fights. It doesn't get off to a good start when you can't really follow the narration which is supposed to introduce it, and at the end it just fades out without any proper conclusion. One diversion is trying to spot the filming locations; the first major scene is one of those reconstructed iron-age villages in southern England, at times you can still see the information boards poorly covered up! And the few interiors look very much like Strawberry Hill mansion, the opulent neo-gothic styling looking a bit out of place in what is supposed to be a medieval culture. Definitely one to miss.
