Great read
I really enjoyed Gavin Peacocks book. I met Gavin when he was playing for Newcastle and was very impressed by what a great guy he seemed to be. His book shows why that is true. It is a really good account of his life as a professional footballer, and at the same time tells us how he avoided the lifestyle problems that affect many professional players. Throughout his career he put his wife and family first, and they enjoyed a great life together. Above all his foundation was his relationship with Jesus Christ and that underpinned everything that he did.
