Bought this cutter and thought that by paying a few pounds more than the cheaper ones it would do the job that I required, how wrong was I, I needed to cut a 40mm waste pipe and a 15mm water pipe. First the 40mm pipe, when I did manage to get the ratchet to start to cut it squashed the pipe before starting to cut, when it did cut through the pipe it left the pipe out of shape and useless to try and get a fitting to seal on it, now the 15mm pipe, it did cut through this a bit better but again distorted the pipe and left the one edge with a burr as it cut the last bit, so really its useless, I think I'll go back to cutting with a saw and clean up with some wet and dry sandpaper, worked for many years just thought this tool would make life easier as they say live and learn

Well, having used these a couple of times it's an art to get the tool to cut and not squash the pipe. Used on solvent weld pipe 32mm didnt give a flush straight cut so ended up with a hacksaw and mitre block. Better cut on 40mm plastic waste, still squashes it but as i say an art in using it.
