Released to mark the 60th anniversary of Jamaican independence, this 2CD compilation from the legendary Trojan Records showcases the biggest early Ska and Jamaican Rhythm & Blues sounds that soundtracked the island in 1962. Disc 1 features the biggest radio hits of that year, including Jimmy Cliff, Derrick Morgan, Roland Alphonso and Lord Creator. Disc 2 features 25 previously unreleased "dubplate" recordings from the Jamaicas leading producer Duke Reid. Comes in a fold out cardboard slipcase which is is in EX/NM condition - one minor scuff on an edge. The 2 CDs are in Mint condition, as is the booklet.
