With their supply of whiskey almost depleted, the citizens of Denver order a wagon train load of liquor, which leaves under the command of Wallingham -- sixteen hundred barrels strong! Cora, a leader of the local temperance movement, leads her crusading women out to intercept the train. An infantry company, commanded by Colonel Gearhart, accompanies the ladies. The Indians, too have their eyes on the precious cargo. A violent dust storm whips up the terrain. Into this roaring confusion ride the cavalry, the Indians, the temperance women, the teamsters, and a citizen's militia of miners.
