Makes things easy, but be aware.....
I have used Turbotax to do my taxes for over 15 years. I never had trouble with any of my returns until the 2020 return. There was an error that caused energy credit for a solar panel system that I installed in 2019, not to be calculated correctly and I didn't realize it until I got a refund that was $1500+ smaller that what I'd filed for. After going through the returns and calculating the credits manually, I discovered the error. Turbotax did not admit the problem, nor did they say that they would try to contact others like me to make sure that they didn't have the same problem. Because I didn't OWE any additional tax, they washed their hands of the issue. I will say that the software makes it easy to upload last year's taxes to the current year and that saves a lot of time. Easy to use program good, not supporting older computer systems bad.
Moving my info from past applications is quick and simple. The questions are short and to the point. I'm not impressed with the computer OS requirements. This program is not that complicated that it could not work on older computers. I have been using Turbotax for years and the program has always been excellent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and said not easy to install was because the program disc was apparently either defective or had minor damage and the program would not load from the disc. I made multiple attempts without success, I was able to download the program from Turbotax using the code provided in the package and was then easily able to use the program to e-file my taxes without any problems.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The Intuit software gets the job done

Good tax software.
Turbo Tax is the best tax software and easiest to use. However, the software disappoints in its ability to import last year's taxes from other programs. In fact it doesn't. It's not a big deal but it's also not as advertised. Also, it's priced very high if you buy it retail. It works and saves time and money.
