After struggling with cheap imitations of Hozelock style hose reels, this real version is like the Rolls Royce of reels! Every time we use it there are exclamations of how easy it is to reel up 60’ of hose compared to the cheap & nasty one we had before! Well worth paying more in this instance!

I had a Hozelock reel years ago. When the handle broke after many years use I replaced the reel with a cheaper brand. I have regretted this ever since and decided to buy a new Hozelock Reel. Its OK, but nowhere near as robust as my old Hozelock one. I feel that Hozelock have compromised on quality to compete on price.

Hozelock 2398 Very good value for money. Delivered on the promised day. Though in this electronic day and tracking being possible, an approximate time of delivery would be appreciated by all. Otherwise one is stuck in the home all day awaiting delivery. Second reason for selecting Hozelock product is the availability of spare parts. You can be sure of breaking of anything made of plastic. I had earlier bought a hoze trolley which was cheaper but couldn’t find any replacements for damaged parts and eventually had to throw away. This time spent an additional £15 and as well as having a 5 year warranty there is facility for spares too

This is satisfactory and suitable for purpose if you don't want to wind a heavy hose onto it. We managed but it took two of us to get the hose on and then not all of it would wind on. If you have a normal hose that is not too long it would be very good. Not for us though on this occasion.
