Didn't need anything fancy, just something portable for occasional/outdoor/camping use - mainly for making kindling, or making bought kindling even smaller for use in a Kelly Kettle. This fits the bill at under £10 delivered. It has a decent heft to it, very grippy handle, head is secure (not always true with cheap harchets), and the yellow handle is hard to lose. Fits in backpack. My inly criticism for my use is its not very sharp at all - blade is ground at quite a thick angle (so it's less likely to chip) which means gentle precise splitting is not very easy - you have to put a bit of swing into it. Not a problem, I'll sharpen it. For splitting small dry logs that stand up without being held, it's fine.

Seems to be very good value. Axe came fairly sharp so I was able to use straight away. Would have love a bit more curve on the handle to make it more comfortable especially after extended use. But again for the price it was excellent

Good wee axe, only one thing if you’ve got small hands it’s maybe not for you, I’ve got things like spades and the handle is verging on the big side, but it is a cracking wee axe for the price top notch

This is an excellent garden tool albeit not the same as shown in advert. Works well and stays sharp with the amount of use I have given to it.
