If you NEED a new nut, this is the one to get.
Everything I've read about acoustic guitar nuts indicates that this TUSQ from Canada is the best. For this reason I bought one to replace a worn/damaged nut on a Martin. For a little lump of "plastic" material that needs sanding down I think it is expensive. I expect most of the cost comes from packaging, exporting and profit. I can't say I enjoyed fitting the nut. It was a bit scary to start meddling with a treasured guitar. However the job was pretty strainght forward, following instructions carefully. Removal of the old nut was actually the easiest part. When finished I DID enjoy the result. I can't say I noticed any change to the sound, but I was happy that I now had the best nut around.
