Sorted the level control.
Original design is flawed and eventually seizes and breaks. New link constructed from plastic with aluminium ball joint is likely to be better. Works perfectly as replacement anyway.

Replaced my old level sensor with this new one, my old one was metal and more prone to seizing so mercedes must have amended this part to plastic and metal, does the job and my bi xenons now adjust automatically as they should
