A Little Intimidating
I have built several 1/350 scale ships and enjoy the challenge of the 200 scale Missouri. You will definitely need tweezers for models,masking tape for models, paint and a slew of other tools along with a magnifying, swing arm light and a third hand with magnifier glass for the really small parts.. Kit consists of over 1573 parts including 11 photo-etched frets for handrails, ladders, radar parts, etc. Includes 2-piece hull, 2-piece deck, multiple guns, two SC-1 reconnaissance seaplanes, display stand and name plate. Completed kit measures a whopping 53” long! If you can afford to buy this model then I suggest also purchasing the Pontos Super Deluxe Upgrade kit with real teak wood decks. I have had my 200 scale USS Missouri now since August of this year and still have probably two more months till completion and that is working on the ship for 6-8 hours a day six days a week. Once the ship is complete I will have a Rosewood base made and a plexiglass cover to protect the model from dust.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Features but lacking in instructions

USS Missouri WW2 Battleship Model
If you like big this one is it at over 53" long. Lots of very small etched pieces that could/should have been injection molded for easier assembly. I wish they named some of the less obvious parts - it's easier to paint accurately if you know what it is.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Need to be more well protect shipping and handling
Delivered damaged package while shipping. Including inside from the package also is damaged as well. I paid $47.10 for the shipping cost to deliver it, to make sure nothing damages, but it does.
