Purchased this unit to use in lieu of my 188 non-color unit. Slammed right in and works perfectly. Not a single flaw, hardly used. The 188 C has as many features as many of the new GPS sounders, the very top of the line its day. With color it's much much easier to see at a glance, And popped right in, same power and transducer leads. That alone saved me a lot of installation time and effort. As advertised, with the latest software. Also works perfectly with my existing blue chart data card, giving me precise detail here in the Choctawhatchee Bay and Gulf. Arrived in two days, making me a happy fisherman. Great product. I do have a question regarding updating blue chart card, so I'll try to get in touch. Thanks!

Very happy so far.
It came in working order but was installed in dash before and I have instrument box so I had to make bracket to hold it. But was nice to be able to get this model 188C to replace my 188 all other connections matched up without running all new wire ring.

Unit works but won't read Garmin data card
May be an issue with the card as it came out of my old unit which didn't work at all
