Good idea poor implementation
Bought AF5C and AF7Cs for Ford Pinto 2.0 OHC for interest. Definitely sticking with the NGK AP7FS I’ve been using for years. I emailed Accuspark with my concerns and they confirmed that these are genuine Accuspark plugs but they did comment on my observations on their apparent poor quality. The gaps between electrode and ground posts are unequal (I have confirmed this by measurement). I suspect this is either because the the electrode is not concentric with the hole drilled through the ground electrodes to get the circular ‘hole’ round the electrode; or it appears in some cases the hole isn’t drilled concentric either. Where the ground posts have been drilled, there were very sharp spikes or strips of the metal left.. not good. See pictures, judge for yourself. Be aware also that it looks like the electrode protrudes further in to the combustion chamber than the original plugs: if you’re running a higher than standard CR, watch for piston contact.
