A remarkable product but only by 'Blackfriars'
I've used the 'Blackfriars' Danish Oil for years on heavily used traditional maple kitchen draining boards and it is absolutely wonderful, a lovely satin finish which is really astonishingly durable and looks beautiful. It's only main competitor's danish oil which I had to purchase 12 months ago (couldn't find Blackfriars locally) to use on another set of draining boards was total rubbish by comparison, deteriorated rapidly within weeks of applying and looking awful. I've obviously bought the 'proper' stuff on line this time to refinish them and this time the finish will last for numerous years.

Fabulous finish
I bought this to polish a solid oak beam for my new fireplace. I used 3 coats and the finish was beautiful. Just a matter of apply.with a brush and rubbing in with a dry cloth. Really easy to apply and the result is astonishing.
