the best cycling tires I have ever owned.
The Continental Grand Prix 4000s II is better than the armadillo and about $20 cheaper. The Armadillo also gets flats from palm tree thorns. Un-acceptable for a $60 tire. After eight months of riding on my first set of tires. I only had one flat, and that was due to hitting a sharp rock. The tires were already completely worn and only then did the tire fail. Other tires in its class will not withstand the thorns from palm trees, like the Grand Prix. Over the course of thirty years, this is the only tire that delivers what is advertised. As long as Continental continues to make this tire, it will ultimately be my only choice!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The best overall tire i have ever riden.
By far the best bike tire i ever used. The 20mm version can be filled with 160 lbs of pressure making it ride as good or better than a tubular tire. This dumpster find a panasonic villager is a competitor with these tires and a neuvation hubbed rear 7 speed wheel. Ha.

Great tire but narrow

Great Tire
I have always loved the Continental Grand Prix as my #1 tire for training or racing. The 20C I think is more for racing/time trials, Criterions, etc on smooth roads. I'd go for the same tire in a 23 or even 25C for normal road riding. The research indicates very little difference but I still think the 20C is max speed! Continental Grand Prix 4000 sii 20mm bike tire.
