High quality valve with many features
These valves are well built and though rarely needed, I have had them run 10-15 years with no repairs. They easy to maintain if needed. Irritrol valves generally flow better (less restrictions) than most competitors. These are electric valves with a 1/2 turn manual over-ride. and they come with a built-in pressure regulator. If your pump runs at 40-50 psi and the sprinklers should have 30 PSi, one can use the pressure regulator to deduce the pressure to maintain proper droplet size to reduce wind drift, evaporation and hard water deposits due to water drift. Only Large Valve I Will Use
These valves are the only ones on the market that do not restrict the flow of water. All other valves have the water go up and over thru the valve where these have a straight thru design. This means less pressure loss along with flow restriction. If you are going any distance or are concerned with pressure or flow design look no farther these are the valves to use. In 30 years I have only had 1 valve fail. This alone shows the value in these valves.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
