It's the real deal, VE-300X2 is amazing.
The Vivarium Electronics 300X2 is wicked nice, easy to program, and super powerful, 900W rated, with two plugs in the rear; I use it to run two towers filled with Ball Pythons. These are my kids, my pride, and a HUGE investment; I would not trust the lives of my snakes to just any Thermostat. The night drop feature is awesome and integrated, you can program sun-up and sundown by hour for different "seasons", two modes of heat on/off or proportional, two heat probes are included with long cords, the light-up digital display is easy to see and programming is just a few seconds to figure out. I have a VE100 and it's pretty good, but it lacks a lot of features that this model incorporates. Worth the added expense and stackable with any of the other VE series, fits perfectly right on top of another unit, no slip rubber feet add to it's stability even if it isn't stacked.
