Great Hoover at a great price

Excellent vacuum cleaner. Dyson dc40 animal

Powerful but weak points
The vacuum of this cleaner is very good but there are lots of weak areas in the design. It has two small wheels that extend and retract to facilitate the upright position but retract if trying to move cleaner into cupboard storage. The easiest way to transport is to carry by gripping the handle on top of the dirt box. The main handle/pipe retainer is very weak and will twist. The pivot points of the dirt box handle has two lugs and dimples, could use a proper hinge pin. The telescopic vacuum pipe is very hard to stretch could be weaker. The design concept of this machine is good but has been manufactured almost completely of injection moulded plastic to maximise profit.
