Great light but the beam is spread too wide.
I upgraded my Cygolite Metro 300 for this model. I was really happy with my 300 and it gave a nice concentrated beam, However, I wanted a slightly brighter light. This light, does give off much more light than my 300. However, because it is so much more spread out (left to right) that the intensity at any one place is only barely more than my old 300 was. One other problem is that on the highest setting the run time has now been decreased by 30 minutes. Had I known all of this before I bought the light, I would probably not have bought it. However, taking all that into account, it is still a great light and would still recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Bright, but spread is too wide for safe road bike use
This light meets its specified lumens with similar brightness to car headlamps, which is necessary for road bike use. With the beam aimed properly on the road and slightly to the left, this light is still blinding to other drivers because the spread of the beam is much too wide. It is not well focused for a proper bike light or any moving vehicle headlamp for that matter. It may work well as a day running light, or for night MTB/trail use. As a MTB night trail light, carry extra fully charged batteries and the tool to change them with, since it will last 1.5 hours on high. For quality and brightness, I rate it 5. it is bright and well made. Since it does not provide for making a quick battery change, trail use rating is reduced to 3, and an unacceptable 0 for road use. Overall, for cycling, I rate it 2. If you wanted it for a high quality hand held camping flashlight, or hand held search and rescue light, I would rate it a "screaming" 5, being so powerfully bright for its compact size.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Metro 750 just awesome
At first I was skeptical about the product. The mode button doesn't cycle consistently through all 6 modes at times. It maybe user error. However, I love this light. It's simply brilliant. Great light
It is real bright on the high setting, more than needed for night / trail riding for most people's needs. The steady light with strobe is perfect for night riding with cars around.
