It is great and it works but
I was looking for a steamer with a dome large enough to fit my large head and this is a great upgrade from the table top steamer. Three things that are unfortunate is this steamer says it can last an hour but I find after filling to the max line the session only lasts about 40 mins until needing to refill so the steamer really only lasts about 40 mins max at a time. Second, there should be detailed instructions in the box, there’s only a piece of paper that says “assemble in reference to diagram” and the diagram is just the same picture thats posted on this listing no details on how the parts connect together, I felt like Bob the builder when I finally figured out how to assemble this. Third I find this dome drips a little so you have to wear a towel around you otherwise you’ll get burned. other than that this is a great steamerVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

This steamer has no high and low switch so the steam comes pouring out which would be OK if the hood would stay locked in place. The hood can only tighten so far and because of the high steam it just keeps getting lower and lower. I’m ready to ship it back.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not Bad for Price
The instructions included are omit some of the information for putting the unit together, fortunately it is pretty easy to figure out what goes where with the hood portion of the unit. The are no markings on the water reservoir to indicate max level as stated in the instructions so you'll have to guess through trial and error. The unit performs as described, the timer and auto shut-off function work as indicated. It produces ample steam under the hood and the condensation drip free design of the hood makes concern over hot water falling on your shoulder a non issue. There is however a design flaw with the glass jar containing the heating element of the unit where condensation forms on the surrounding plastic housing and drips unto the floor and along the pole that connects to steamer heating unit, perhaps because it can be a little slack but after it cooled I was able to tighten it so the next use will determine if there is truly a problem. Just avoid that area when the unit is operational if you notice any condensation because you may get burned as I did. Overall I am satisfied with the performance of the steamer so far, hoping that is built to last. 7/7/2016 update to original review: Tightening the glass jar did the trick! there was no condensation on the surrounding plastic housing, no wet mess and no burns! I guess it got loose in shipment, so when you put yours together make sure to check it and adjust if necessary. Very happy with the steamer!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hair steamer

I like to give revised updates. so far however this REALLY works. the steam is hot and right. make sure you open the vents on the hood so the hot steam doesnt drip (OUCH HOT).
