Great machine! Works fine, big torque, triple key torch. Fast-locking metal chuck with lock. I recommend a lighter 2.0 Ah battery for a great solution. I don't use it often for impact drilling, I use a larger machine with a hydraulic stroke for this.

I bought this to replace a cheaper Makita drill that I had owned and used for several years, that had served me well, which still works okay. But after having used someone else's DeWalt on site, I was so impressed I bought a DeWalt for myself, and I bought this one for my employee, it is so much better than my old Makita in every department, I am not knocking Makita, who I am sure make a drill which is comparable to this DeWalt. This drill is very compact and has good power, the light is a great feature and very useful. I only have a couple of small criticisms, 1. changing from forward to reverse is a bit fiddly, it sometimes doesn't want to engage easily and I have to give it an extra push, I am sure I will get used to it though. 2.The carry case doesn't hold as many extra bits as my old Makita, but after a bit of sorting out, and reducing the amount of bits that I did not use very often, it is more than adequate.
