RAC mini Air Pump - Light Small and has a light

This is very small and compact so very handy to tuck away in the back of your car or even the pannier or top box of a motorbike. This is why I bought it. Works well, can be connected directly to the battery or a 12 volt cigarette accessory socket. I wired a socket to my motorcycle battery under the seat. Could get you out of trouble or if you just need a top up of air. This pump is also very light much lighter than most foot pumps. So another great advantage with a motorbike or scooter. Good peace of mind. There is also a small LED light to guide you in darkness.

  • Most critical review

    Alright eventually

Its not a bad pump, it inflates a tyre quicker than most I've tried. I had a problem with mine not working on arrival which was a broken wire in the molded plug (I had two sent both with the same fault). I think that this is due to the way the cable is stowed in the back of the pump, an easy enough fix for me. In use it is very easy to operate and I particularly like the valve connector, so much easier than the lever type

  • a useful bit oft to have in the car

I've been having a lot of problems with my tyres - two of them constantly lose air - they are alloys and the garage can't find any puncture, so was spending a £ a throw at the garage to top up every few days. I use this compressor once a week and its saving me on expensive garage air!! (However you still need to check now and again that the readings are correct). This one uses the psi measuremeant so corresponds with the garage pump. The item is small and compact and clear,

  • No good - didn't work.

Pump stopped working after less than one minute and the pressure gauge was all over the place. I used to have a product that looked like this and it lasted several years - so I thought I would be okay with this one. But this one was useless. Maybe I was unlucky and had a dud one - but I couldn't recommend anyone to buy this product. To be fair to the seller - they gave me a full refund no quibbles. However after this bad experience I decided to buy a more expensive product with good customer reviews.

  • Not up to the job

Sister purchased this to pump up a slow flat on her Clio. It pumped it up (3 mins) on 2 occasions and I then borrowed it to pump up a ride on mower tire. After 1 min it started to smoke and rattle then stopped pumping. Would not buy another

  • Rubbish don't bother with this it'll burn out after about 45secs

I wanted this for our car which has run flat tyres. I tried it out on a garden wheel barrow. It began to smoke and had I continued would have burst into flames. The thing is a fire hazard.

  • RAC compact air compressor

Excellent mini compressor especially for use on motorbike trips. Very easy to store and more than powerful enough to quickly inflate a motorcycle tyre.

  • Junk

Don't buy this unless perhaps to blow up a beach ball. My tyre needed 5psi adding so seemed a chance to test it - but it actually lets more air out than goes in despite blowing feebly when not connected. At the same time it makes a noise comparable to pneumatic drill. It's total junk and not exactly dirt cheap.

  • Rubbish

The pump is not working. Initially it made a crunching sound and then didn't work. Please advise on return or replacement. The quality is very poor.
