It does work.
When I ordered it I expected an electrically operated valve. it in fact works using water pressure and uses two small bore plastic pipes to the switch which are held in a white plastic sleeve that comes rolled up. Hence when you come to fit it all it wants to do is roll back up. So don't expect to get a nice straight wire to clip to a surface. It really needs to be contained in either trunking or a channel. For the switch to turn off the supply it requires water pessure so I don't know how efective it would be if the supply pressure happens to drop very low. Be aware. Otherwise it works well and is not too bad to fit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Geat product: remember the silicon grease
Quick and easy to switch water on and off so great for nervous/elderly person. Push fit joints make it really easy to install (easy from the product point of view - I can't vouch for the convoluted pipe runs under your sink!). Silicon grease is essential on copper pipes - push fit went in really smoothly with grease, wouldn't go in at all without.
